Bayern are unbeaten in their last 16 European games outside Munich winning 13 and drawing three. They’ve scored at least two goals in all but the goalless draw at Liverpool in the 2018/19 round of 16 first leg and last season's UEFA Champions League final.

With the attendance of fans permitted for tonight’s game the match could set a benchmark for the future of football. The UK government have halted all plans to return fans to stadiums despite pushback from the FA, the EFL and the Premier League.

If tonight’s experiment is a success, it would lay the groundwork for fans to return to sporting events around the world.

This would be of huge financial benefit to the football clubs in the UK, especially the lower league sides who are feeling the economic pinch of the ongoing pandemic.

Tonight’s game will be the first major European football match to allow fans back into the stadium since the coronavirus pandemic hit.

The 67,000-capacity stadium can be up to a third full with strict hygiene measures in place for thsoe who attend the match.

UEFA have sold 15,500 tickets for the game and will broadcast public announcements on giant screens and tv monitors reminding people of the safety measures.

The chief of staff for the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said the match will be "safer than almost any other gathering" with the measures that are in place but political opponents in the country disagree.

"This experiment is unacceptable," said opposition Socialist deputy Ildiko Borbely. "They use 14,000 compatriots as experimental rabbits to see how the coronavirus spreads at mass gatherings. We reject exposing Hungary to such danger."

But, UEFA believe they have done all in their power to make the venue safe and secure as president Aleksander Čeferin said:

“We are working closely with the Hungarian Football Federation and its government to implement measures to ensure the health of all those attending and participating in the game, we will not take risks with people’s safety.”

PREDICTION

Bayern were in frightening form en route to lifting the Champions League trophy last month, and their Bundesliga return last weekend saw them demolish Schalke 8-0.

As savvy and technically adept as Sevilla are, Bayern are on another level. Bayern 3-0 Sevilla.
