At the Holiday Inn, they were offered the empty upper-level suite, equipped with a baby grand piano, that became the set for the start of the video.

Earth Bound Bakery and Kitchen helped provide COVID-safe catering to everyone involved.

Andrews said he was blown away by how quickly the production crew, led by Tara Yolan, was willing to jump onto his project. As he put it, it’s a special feeling to have people believe in what you’re trying to accomplish as an artist.

“If you’re building something or doing something, it’s amazing to have people help you build that vision,” he said. “It’s such an uphill battle when you’re doing it yourself.”

What I See and the video for the song were both particularly personal projects for Andrews. He said the song was written to express his feelings about his fiancee and their daughter, who both feature heavily in the video. They’re expecting another child, so he wanted this to be something his family could look back on and know both kids are — in a fashion — in the video.

The way different people in the city were willing to help him put the soon-to-be-released video together makes it that much sweeter, he said.

“If my whole music career was over next week, how would this not be the pinnacle of that? (It’s) a beautiful, huge level of accomplishment.”
